SERVICES and Information Society / Knowledge Economy

This week's seminar will be in two main parts.
Part 1 will consider the nature and roles of services in "post-industrial society", will examine IT in services, etc.
Part 2 will look at Knowledge Intensive Business services: KIBS in particular.

• What's special about services?
• How can different types of services be understood?
• Is service growth inexorable?
• What do KIBS do for innovation?
